After dealing with a brain tumor surgery, rehab, radiation and chemo my self-confidence got somewhat down, despite the positive attitude throughout the entire path of recovery. But after I went to a wonderful rock climbing trip provided by First Descents I opened up, felt much stronger and empowered! Take Care of Your Body

  Learn to be gentle with yourself. Respect your body with its strengths and its limitations. Be here and now. Don’t push into anything that doesn’t feel good at this particular moment. Be patient. Always test your limits but don’t go beyond your range of movement. Listen inwards. Your body is wiser than your superficial mind. Keep coming into your Deep Mind, your True Self. You can reach there through your practice. Just listen inwards, listen attentively.
